Seattle's Real Networks has promoted Ricardo Cidale to Vice President of Media Systems Sales for the Americas. Cidale, formerly General Manager, Latin America and U.S. Latino, will now directly manage the North and South American media segment of the media systems division of RealNetworks, while continuing to oversee its Latin American team.

Before joining RealNetworks in 1998, Cidale held executive management positions at Dell Computer Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation.

Cidale also was Managing Director for 10 years of Wild West Software in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
