    SANTA CLARA, Aug. 1--Terayon Communication Systems , a supplier of broadband network systems, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Mainsail Networks for 3.2 million shares of Terayon common stock. Based in Fremont, California, Mainsail Networks is a privately held company that designs, develops and markets, adding to Terayon's broadband portfolio, representing its expansion in the access infrastructure and optical transport markets.

Meko will operate in conjunction with Penton's Jon Peddie Associates in Mill Valley, CA, the leading market research firm covering the digital media, convergence, software and workstation graphics markets.     SAN JOSE, Aug. 1--Cisco Systems announced a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held IPmobile of Richardson, Texas, a provider of software systems that enable service providers to build the next generation IP-based wireless infrastructure known as third generation or `3G' networks, in a stock deal worth approximately $425 million. IPmobile's technology strengthens Cisco's leadership as a network solutions provider in this emerging Mobile Wireless Internet.
