BEDFORD, Mass., Sept. 7--Data Broadcasting Corporation announced the acquisition of Trading Techniques, an award-winning developer of cutting edge technical analysis software for the active individual and institutional investor community. Trading Techniques will augment the power of DBC's retail investor services, especially its flagship product, eSignal, creating one of the most advanced decision support tools available to the active trader market. CHICAGO, Sept. 7--Peapod announced that it has acquired Streamline.com operations in Chicago and Washington, D.C. These actions are part of Peapod's overall strategic plan for growth and future profitability, including its plans to use a centralized distribution model in every market in which it offers online shopping and delivery service. Peapod will pay approximately $12 million in cash for the operating assets comprising Streamline's operations in the Chicago and Washington, D.C. markets, including the facilities, an established customer base and an existing workforce and management.

KENT, Conn., Sept. 7--Outpost.com, a global Internet retailer of high-end consumer technology products and eBusiness Services provider, announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire CMPExpress, a private Internet retailer of technology products to the business market. The acquisition provides a true B2B solution for Outpost.com's small business customers, and provides a wider selection of products to existing CMPExpress customers. The $12 million purchase price will be paid in Outpost.com common stock.
