SAN FRANCISCO, July 21--Quokka Sports, provider of sports entertainment for the digital world, announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Total Sports, a sports Internet company. The acquisition will create critical mass in Quokka Sports' U.S. mainstream sports presence, doubling its estimated audience size. Quokka Sports will issue approximately 15 million shares of common stock in exchange for ownership of the privately-held Total Sports, valuing the acquisition at approximately $130 million.
