Netscape's First Webmaster Becomes Sentire's CTO
Renton-based Sentire, Inc., a provider of Internet performance optimization services, has named Robert Andrews as its chief technology officer.
Andrews, who was Netscape's first official Webmaster, brings to Sentire over 25 years experience in the hi-tech industry.
While at Netscape, Andrews co-founded Internet Systems, Inc., a Web hosting company now merged with Exodus, and Level 3 Communications, Inc., where he built the company's proprietary Web hosting technology. His career is further noted for the creation of Internet banner ad specifications, which remain today's standard.
