MENLO PARK, June 15--Online broker E-Trade Group said it agreed to acquire Versus Technologies, a Canadian-based provider of electronic securities trading services for institutional and retail investors and owner of the E*TRADE Canada license, for $174 million in stock. Through the acquisition, E*Trade will gain access to the VERSUS retail and institutional client base, as well as The VERSUS Network, a scalable proprietary electronic trading platform that is planned to be incorporated into E*Trade's product offerings worldwide.

OMAHA, June 15--Ameritrade Holding, an online discount broker, said it has acquired Ten Bagger an Orem, Utah-based provider of innovative investment decision support tools. Ameritrade's active and rapidly growing customer base of self-directed investors will benefit from this fast and easy-to-use stock screening, research, and charting software product, known as BigEasy Investor. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
