Published by: mike 2008-08-20

[Sydney, AUSTRALIA, June 27, 2000] Online department store dstore has kicked off point to point delivery for customers, by committing founding equity investment to build Home-Delivery.

The project, created in partnership with dstore's logistics company e-fill, is aimed to provide dstore with added value, as it will be the first such shopping site to tailor home delivery to customers.

Users will be able to specify when they want goods delivered, as part of a customer-centric business to consumer e-commerce model dstore chief executive officer David Gold said all online businesses would eventually adopt.

As part of the deal, Home-Delivery will provide real time paperless order tracking facilities, and a route scheduling software application to find most cost-effective time windows for delivery.

As well as providing the service for dstore, Home-Delivery will offer the direct-to-customer delivery services for a range of businesses.

The creation of Home-Delivery follows a partnership with dstore's logistics firm 3PP to develop e-fill, that was finalized earlier this year.
