delivery for customers, by committing founding equity investment to build
Home-Delivery.
The project, created in partnership with dstore's logistics company
e-fill, is aimed to provide dstore with added value, as it will be the
first such shopping site to tailor home delivery to customers. Users will be able to specify when they want goods delivered, as part of
a customer-centric business to consumer e-commerce model dstore chief
executive officer David Gold said all online businesses would eventually
adopt.
As part of the deal, Home-Delivery will provide real time paperless
order tracking facilities, and a route scheduling software application to
find most cost-effective time windows for delivery.
As well as providing the service for dstore, Home-Delivery will offer
the direct-to-customer delivery services for a range of businesses.
The creation of Home-Delivery follows a partnership with dstore's
logistics firm 3PP to develop e-fill, that was finalized earlier this year.
