Bellevue-based InfoSpace will be the platform and application provider for Cingular Wireless' new Spanish-language Portal "Mi Ventana Movil". StarMedia will provide Spanish language content and marketing expertise.

InfoSpace recently launched a Spanish-language version of its device-independent platform and suite of applications.

These new services may be integrated with InfoSpace's Spanish-language speech-based technologies to provide wireless carriers with a comprehensive Spanish-language portal accessible over legacy standards, Internet-enabled phones, PCs, PDAs and other devices.

According to InfoSpace CEO Naveen Jain, InfoSpace is geared up to support wireless carriers that service Spanish speakers throughout Central and South America.

"Leveraging our success in the U.S. and in Brazil, we are committed to seeing our Spanish-language platform find widespread distribution throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean," says Jain.
